This was taken Monday morning at school. It's going to be posted on the Hummingbird website along with some other information about why we're here and where we're from and yada yada yada. Everyone at the school keeps asking why we're so happy all the time. I mean do they really have to ask.... warm weather, the Caribbean Sea, cute little kids... who wouldn't be happy???
In other news, my class now knows me as "Ms. Cobb". If you remember earlier in the posts I talked about how I thought my kids and teacher were calling me "Ms. Codd", not "Ms. Cobb". Today during a lesson on writing capital 'C', the students were naming kids in the class " who had names beginning with that letter. My name came up, and the teacher wrote it as "Codd", which definitely confirmed what I had been thinking. I brought it up at our break time and told her how my name was really spelled, and she just laughed. Later in the day she explained that it was really easy to get 'b' and 'd' mixed up and revealed that my name was, in fact, "Ms. Cobb". It was funny!
Another funny moment today was when the class was discussing the various countries that they were born in and what they're called. i.e. Belize- Belizean, US- American, Lebanon- Lebanese, Turkey- Turkish. But then we got to Alex, who was born in England. When asked what he should be called he said "ugh... CHINESE!" haha. It was pretty funny!
