It started on the plane, when I had to fill out lots of random info about myself to give to the Customs people in Belize. I pretty much had to sign my life away by saying that I wasn't bringing anything suspicious into the country and that I wasn't forgetting to claim anything that might be of importance in my luggage.
Upon finally arriving Belize and waiting in the Customs line, we waited patiently for all of luggage to come slowly down the conveyor belt. This is what we ended up with... does this look like enough stuff to last 6 girls for 4 months??? All the other people in the airport seemed to think so!
Then we got settled into our little apartment, which turned out to be surprisingly larger than we were thinking it would be, and went on a little tour of Belize City with our landlord, Stelle. When we told her were practically starving, she took us to a cute little restaurant... guess what we ate for our first meal in Belize....CHINESE! And really good Chinese food at that! She said that the pig tails and chicken feet would come later, so maybe tomorrow? lol. The cool thing about Belize that I already like is the fact that soft drinks come in their glass bottles which are almost triple the size of glass coke bottles at home... the picture just doesn't do it justice!
Hahaha about the luggage.. I really don't think it looks like a whole lot, considering how much me, you and Nikkie had for our 6 day stay in Florida.. lol. Looks like you're having fun! I'm patiently awaiting the pictures of the beach. :)
ReplyDeletePS - Please tell me she was joking about the pig tails and chicken feet..
Haha.. sadly I don't think she was kidding about the food... I'll definitely let you know when that day comes!
