I'm a local!!!!

Since my teacher was super nice and gave me Friday off of school,. Josh and I had a chance to spend a couple more days on the islands. We decided on going back to Caye Caulker since Josh loved it last weekend! When we walked into the water taxi terminal Thursday afternoon, the security guy said " I recognize your face. You're a local." And my reply was, "Yes I am!" lol. This is the first time anyone has ever referred to me as a local and I was pretty excited about it!

Here's a few pics from round 2 in Caye Caulker. We pretty much spent the whole time laying around and doing absolutely NOTHING! It was great! I'm sad that it's my last night here and my last night to spend with Josh while he's here. (I have to go to Punta Gorda in southern Belize tomorrow morning for a service project, so Josh is on his own until his flight leaves on Sunday.)

There were 5 big cruise ships docked in Belize City on Wednesday.
And we're back in Caye Caulker for Josh's last weekend here : (
Our cute hotel on the beach complete with lots of picnic tables, chairs, and lounge chairs.
the view from our lounge chairs
Our hotel also has 2 cats and a dog... we named this little guy "Blackie"
and this is CC (for Caye Caulker). Ally will be jealous.
This is the dog at the hotel... she's pregnant and her collar says "do not feed me". lol

She loves attention just as much as the cats!
We found a restaurant on Caye Caulker that had sweet tea, so Josh had to get some of course.

This cute little preschool class was celebrating cultural day on the beach right in front of our hotel. All the kids were dressed in cute outfits, and they sang and danced for a little while. It was precious!

This pretty much sums up life in Belize... don't worry about too much and just go with the flow!

One of our favorite places to grab a snack is a cute little bakery on the island. It has lots of yummy things like banana bread, cinnamon rolls, strawberry pastries, homemade breads, and more delicious things that we haven't tried yet.
